The hack ‘popup.offsetWidth = popup.offsetWidth’ from the demo ’ Оживление формы в «Барбершопе»’ does not work while ‘use strict’;

Here it would help ‘popup.width = popup.offsetWidth’;

Just because ‘offsetWidth’ is readonly…
